For NES like game it's pretty much playable. Sounds are nice and crunchy. Level design allow for some skill jumping. Throw shurikens and become 8-bit ninja. Overall ok but don't expect much.
8 found this helpful
"Ninja Senki DX" is quite a solid bow to the NES/Game Boy 2D action-platformer-classics with nice and charming spritework and a cartoony ninja-setting. It has the old "tapping the ol' shoot button till it bleeds" like in classic "Mega Man", a naked tanuki-statue (which may be a homage to Super Mario Bros. 3) and some nasty instant death passages, but is overall more forgiving than the games that it was inspired by (unless you play on hard that is). I liked that you get Health or 1Ups after a certain score, which flows seamlessly and rewardingly into the "get good" curve. And hey, there are even different endings (based on your score, I guess). Overall a good old time for that specific itch!1 found this helpful
Well, never thought i'd experience an attempt at mixing Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man but not bad, leans more on mega man actually but no quite as difficult and for the price it makes for a great evening of light gaming!
Broken port. No options to adjust music volume. Cannot change or even see keyboard mappings. Average platformer game.
Controls are too tight for a game that is 128x128. Controls are not even written UNLESS you wait for the screensaver tips, I was literally stuck at the starting page because for some reason enter was resetting the game.
A cute solid game. God help you when you encounter water lol
