About No Way Out - A Dead Realm Tale

***GamePad Controller Strongly Recommended for the best experience***

100 years after the massacre at Huxley’s Mansion rumors swirl of an unclaimed treasures waiting to be collected. But there are things the rumors don’t mention. The murderous ghosts who prowl the hallways waiting for your torch to dim… The wails of a grieving mother who begs you to help her son. And the madman at the center of it all, William Huxley, whose inventions have left the mansion suspended somewhere between Earth and hell.

No Way Out: A Dead Realm Tale challenges you to solve puzzles, overcome ghosts and free yourself from Huxley’s grasp before it’s too late. This immersive VR experience provides a spine-tingling twist on the haunted house genre. Will you escape? Or will you become just another lost soul trapped forever in Huxley’s Mansion?

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the game's decent graphics, good atmosphere, and some genuinely challenging puzzles that feel rewarding to solve, though many note the game is playable through a simple keyboard workaround if you don't have VR. Common complaints include numerous bugs that can break progression, tedious gameplay with excessive walking simulator sections, frustrating spirit placement that sends you back to autosaves unexpectedly, and a pricing issue where the relatively short length doesn't justify the $20 cost for what players feel should be a $10 experience.

Good game just has many bugs Also to play this with keyboard without a VR just change the boot.config file vr-enabled value to '0' in the managed folder inside the game directory -credit GalaxyKid for this, works normal on keyboard just low mouse sensitivity, and use Q to open the map.

When is Steam finally gonna add a mixed vote option? The graphics are pretty decent, the atmosphere is pretty good, but the game play can be pretty tedious, especially the last puzzle. Considering the length, it should either be $10, or twice as long, if they're gonna charge $20. It's not so bad as to vote it down, and not so good as to vote it up. Need that mixed vote option.

I had to make the game playable in non-vr to play (which was surprisingly easy,) but the game was actually very fun to play. Apart from the main takeaway being that this is just a walking simulator for at least 60% of the game, it has some puzzles you actually have to think about, and actually made me a bit proud when I got through them. The main thing that messed me up the most is that spirits are ALWAYS placed in spots you don't need to be, sending you back to an autosave, that could mess you up, in terms of progression. This mainly got me at the part where you had to stop Baby William from getting in your room with a present, as I messed that up 3 times, and it sent you back to the master bedroom, which is a decently long walk from where the study room is. Apart from all of that though, its a decently enjoyable experience. (Also I only had to play in non-vr because right now my vr is VERY laggy, its not the games fault though.)
