I've played for about 2.5 hours at this point...but it feels like 10. I bought the game on super sale for $2 and it's the only reason I'm not furious. The main flaw of the game is that it's just too small. The world is small, the enemy list is small, the number of locations is under-developed. Decisions rarely impact anything. Night mode is just stupid... all of the people out during the day are still there. There's almost no "sneaking" involved. It's just a boring grind in a boring game that could have been SO much better. 2/5 stars

One of the RPGMaker hidden gems I've played in a while. While the combat is just your typical RPG Mechanic, I like the smooth, cute visuals and the casual feel to it. It's engaging without me feeling lost or helpless whenever I'm stuck.

The narrative stands as one of the game’s strongest pillars. Rather than following a strictly linear storyline, Nobunaga’s Shadow emphasizes player choice. Dialogue options and key decisions influence alliances, character relationships, and ultimately the ending achieved. Ryuuei’s position as a spy creates constant tension between duty and personal conviction. Players may choose to remain loyal to their original mission, sympathize with new allies, or pursue an independent path. These branching possibilities encourage multiple playthroughs, as different decisions can dramatically alter how events unfold and which ch…
