Choice of the Ninja

This game is simply too thin on thin on the ground. While the story promises to go in a number of interesting directions with the Player choosing between multiple allegiances there is little in the way of payoff. This is because of the short length of the game which clocks in at 150,000 words compared to other Choice of Games titles, some of which are close to half a million words long. Choice of the Ninja also has no save system meaning that if you die late in the game, as I did, you have to start from the very beginning. Even the rating and companion systems in this game are shallow compared to other CoG titles. I bought this game during a sale but still don't think it is worthwhile.

I enjoy this story : it doesn't move in description to put more words in the count. Your are a hero and have a story to choose. That it Its little bit short so i find the price a bit too munch. This story clearly need some following. Does ninja live long and prosper ?

You play a character who's just graduating ninja training. Have a personal quest to find out what happened to your missing parents. The main conflict is between a brutal lord and a pacifist lord. Supporting the brutal lord will make you wealthy+powerful, whereas supporting the pacifist lord is seen as more honorable path. Two ninja companions, a nice guy and a vengeful girl. Seems like there's gonna be a part 2, but this is a complete story. Pros: -Need to pass a ninja graduation test right off the bat. It's like solving a puzzle. -Pick your gender and name after passing ninja graduation test. Kinda lets you test out your character. -Enjoyed the fight scenes, especially the final fight. Very tricky. -Total of 4 missions you wil go on, vary in length. -Multiple opportunities to switch sides, become a double agent, unlock alternate options by working for other characters. Cons: -Didn't like how all your stats started at 50. They go up the more you use them, neglecting a stat will lower it slightly. -There's a romance option that asks how you feel about a character you literally know nothing about and haven't meet in the story yet. -Disappointed by conclusion to 2nd missio…

Pretty decent game

I was really enjoying this game, I died on my first playthrough so had another go. I went with the same options as before. All was going well until a fight scene where you are asked to choose between 2 sides. I chose accordingly, but then after I had no idea what was happening?? With all the choices that I had made up to that point, it then seemed that a game error had occurred and I was just left scratching my head?? I was now part of some 3rd side...I clicked forward a few turns but nothing I read made sense bearing in mind how I'd chosen to play the game to that point. To make things worse you can't retrace your steps and there is no save. So to get to that point again and picking another option to see if things start to make sense, I'd have to start from scratch. To be honest I don't know wether I can be arsed!
