Short Review
The problem with this game is that its just as mediocre as it gets. The game looks nice, but the background music and tracks are just forgettable. The game is a mix between puzzle and platformer, both not being really good. Platforming isnt that fun due to the movement and puzzles are puzzles. Not my cup of tea, especially if they are often just switch puzzles. It has also a weird story going on that somewhat has a small twist at the end. The last boss battle is very obnoxious. Despite the game looking and feeling rather childish, the gameplay isnt. This makes for a mediocre game at best i probably wont think about ever again nor replay.

Sadly, despite it nice look, this isn't good game. Platforming and level design are so clunky and unprecisive that they quickly became frustrating. And sound design is just bad and you can't adjust this. It would be waste of time to play this more.

A short game with great animation styles, decent gameplay and a plot twist in the end.

Nubarron: The Adventure of an Unlucky Gnome, developed by Nastycloud and published by Hidden People Club, is a whimsical puzzle-platformer that builds its identity around charm, simplicity, and one genuinely inventive mechanic. On the surface, it follows a familiar structure—guide a small hero through a colorful world filled with obstacles and light puzzles—but it distinguishes itself through its unusual companion: a sentient cloud that hovers above the protagonist and constantly interferes with, and occasionally assists, your progress. The story is intentionally light and accessible. You play as a gnome who, after losing his lucky hat, sets out on a journey to reclaim it, encountering strange creatures and environments along the way. The narrative doesn’t aim for complexity, instead embracing a fairytale tone that matches the game’s visual style. Dialogue is minimal, and storytelling is largely conveyed through the world itself, giving the experience a relaxed, almost storybook-like quality that suits its overall design. Gameplay alternates between traditional side-scrolling platforming and environmental puzzle-solving. Movement is straightforward—jumping across gaps, avoiding h…
