About NUVAVULT

NUVAVULT is a perspective altering puzzle game where 2D and 3D collide. What intially appears to be a classic 2D platformer soon transforms into something much... deeper.

You progress through several zones, each introducing a new way to alter and interact with the world.

The 70+ puzzles are designed to reveal how the world works, without the need for explanation.

The world is not as flat as it first appears.

NUVAVULT is a stimulating puzzle game with a delightful central mechanic and a few surprises.
Positive Points

It isn't too difficult: I was stumped a few times (a good puzzle game should stump you occasionally!) but most puzzles were fairly straightforward while being clever enough to please.
There are some fun secrets: Certain early level collectables, for instance, look completely unreachable, then the game changes and you go "ah ha!".
It doesn't wear out its welcome: It took me about 2 1/2 hours to get 100% and I'm quite satisfied with the length.
It opens up in the second half: There was a bit of a surprise about half way through that changes the game significantly, and in a good way.
Until about half way, rotating the level, collapsing into 2D, and expanding into 3D are done by interacting with blocks in the game world. After the half way mark you gain the ability to do these things at will.

Critiques

The jumping can feel a little stilted and sudden. But, this is no action platformer and you get used to it.
RE: the surprise at the half way point:
While it is great that the game gives you mo…

great game, fun mechanics

Looked kinda neat, but the janky controls and horrid platforming made me tap out quick. In need of UI overhaul.

Focused and nicely crafted puzzler. Starts simplistic with 2D puzzles, but introduces some interesting nuance with 3D puzzles after about 15 minutes. Great value at the price point requested, and judging from other reviews it doesn't overstay its welcome.

This game should really be played and reviewed by more people. It's really creative and a total steal for the price. Wonderful work and I hope the developer keeps making more games! (And invests in some PR or something!)

I just 100% completed it and I loved it! The game is really good, really original and it brings a ton of new ideas to the 3D-Sokoban genre. The puzzle design is excellent. Every puzzle is small and tries to teach you something new, just how I like it. A lot of the puzzles also have an optional collectable (or two) you can find, which is really fun if you want an extra challenge. It took me about 1.5 hours to complete, which is great for the price and for this type of game. It's better to have a shorter game with great puzzles than a bigger game with a bunch of filler puzzles that don't teach you anything new. Also, I play way too many Sokoban-style games, so your completion time may vary. Another review mentioned 2.3 hours. Only down side is the graphics and controls. It's not the best looking game, and the controls are a little weird (on a controller it uses Y instead of A to select stuff in the menu, and the way the character jumps is a little weird at first), but once you get used to it, it doesn't remove anything from the fun you get from solving the puzzles. Overall, I really enjoyed it! I highly recommend it if you like small puzzles with great puzzle design and original…
