Each title created feels diverse in game play despite being made through rpgmaker which is really cool. In this installation Nyanco is abducted and you must adventure to space to save her. The game plays much like pacman; it is an arcade avoid the baddies while you collect objects. The game gets consistently harder and there six worlds to play through. The stages feel diverse even hitting on some seasonal levels such as Christmas or Halloween. There are also boss stages which require you to make some clever movements to lead them into traps instead of just attacking them.
The Minor Gripes
All in all the gameplay is simple enough and fun but the ai can feel a bit sporadic at times. It makes it a bit frustrating; but the levels aren't too long so it's not terrible. Really to me the biggest con to this is the absence of the quirky dialogue featured in the other Nyanco titles. I'm sure there are many that would prefer for this type of game to not have any so they can breeze through it, but the nyanco titles to me h…15 found this helpful
Gameplay
The goal is to collect cat coins while avoiding obstacles. There are a variety of enemies which will try to stop you, each with predictable movement patterns. There are a number of worlds to explore, each with their own aesthetic, gimmicks, and final boss fight. When fighting bosses, you can't actually attack them directly. Instead, you must exploit their movement patterns to put them in harm's way, a…9 found this helpful
Game of the Nyanco, by the Nyanco, for the Nyanco!6 found this helpful
(Free key from the developer via Steamgifts) This is basically pac-man, you are being chased by different behaving enemies, you need to flip switches, jump over obstacles, use bounce pads and collect all loot to finish a level. After every few levels there is a boss battle where you need to lure the boss on top of explosives to kill them. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out pretty enjoyable and challenging experience. One major downside is the clunky controls and the inability to rebind them. Controller support would be nice for this type of game.2 found this helpful
What is it with this cat person and her multiple personas? And why am I coming back to her?
Nyanco Space is a challenging and short game. I finished it in maybe over 1 hour. Nyanco got kidnapped by aliens and you have to save her! Gameplay is very simple: Avoid the bad guys, jump over obstacles, eat food when you get hit to replenish health, pick up all the points and make it to the end. The game can be saved at the beginning before landing on the planet as well as halfway through and sometimes before the boss. The only thing I found a little disappointing was the art. I was also hoping for a little bit more fanservice. But maybe next time! Conclusion Nyanco Space is a nice little time waster as usual. Best enjoyed while streaming and talking with your friends while having a good time. So why am I coming back to playing these games? I think the most of it has to do with the fact that the developer making them just has fun doing so. And that's all what small little indie games need to be enjoyable.2 found this helpful
