I really enjoyed this game. I beat it after about 11 hours of playtime, on varying difficulties. The story was unique and the balance of puzzles, collectables, and progression was good. I particularly liked the unique visuals and the charm of the game. Glad I bought the game and finished it.5 found this helpful

I've been able to get through the first few levels and I like it a lot. I just wish I had more time to really get into it.2 found this helpful
EDIT: Verdict after 100% completion in 26 hrs? Absolute cinema. The other review mentioning Nine Sols is spot on. Perfect Block has the juice, especially when you can chain it mid combo. The zones feel far more visually distinct than I was expecting; the photo real style doesn't feel tiring or homogenous. [strike]One small complaint, I seem to have a bug where occasionally green chests aren't "x'd" on the map after opening. (Unless I've been bamboozled by mimics!)[/strike]1 found this helpful
This game deserves your attention. You can tell the developer really put his heart and soul into it. There's a distinct feeling of someone testing, tweaking some things, testing again, tweaking again, over and over and over to achieve a very specific feel. It's really good, the parrying feels very nice, the dialogue is very entertaining, the combat is satisfying... I can't stress enough just how much soul this game has in it. A very solid 8-9/10, I highly recommend it. That one man made something this genuinely fun to play is absolutely legendary. I enjoyed playing this game immensely and I cannot wait to play the next game from ChuckleFreaky.1 found this helpful
Edit: Ending was great. Absolute gem of a game hope it gets some more exposure. When I first saw this announced I was like this looks so old school stupid it's probably going to be good. It is. 100%. The voice acting actually surprised me for how good it is. There's a lot to love about this game if you can appreciate some silliness, heavy parrying, a lot of platforming, puzzles, and some difficulty. It's a fightervania, something I would love to have more of so this was an appreciated find for me as it goes nicely with vernal edge and demonaica. I refused to get off normal mode at first. It's a bit tough, you'll die a lot. That first boss is one hell of a gatekeeper but it's good practice for getting used to parrying and dealing combos. Once you're past that the game opens up a bit and things get significantly easier if you're looking for secrets. You will have to parry a lot, and you'll have to get used to your combos otherwise you'll have a bad time. The lower difficulties makes everything forgiving though and I've admittedly been using it after tiring out from running it back to several puzzle rooms, and I mean this game has tons of little puzzle platforming segments.
