First hour is fun, but the game quickly makes itself unfun via fetch quests, etc. I'm still going to finish this because I paid for it, but man. Don't buy. Bought it because it was cute and on sale. OddSparks is a very enjoyable game. It starts with simple mechanics, but the logistics gradually become more complex and rewarding as you progress. There are plenty of progression tiers that keep you engaged, and the animations are charming, cute, and full of personality. The only caveat I'd mention is that I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids without their parents' awareness. The game includes a few subtle political or ideological themes. They're not a major part of the experience or particularly intrusive, but they're noticeable enough that some parents may want to be aware of them before deciding whether it's appropriate.2 found this helpful
I have a lot of fun organizing things.
fun game
A lot like Factorio with some small fights that you can choose when they happen (You need to kill some guys for drops, they respawn [Default settings] so you don't ever run out). The most premium resource late in the game does seem to be space. It does feel like once you get to a new tech tier that some of the things you've worked on before become useless (Ladders, some sparks) and it can start to have some slowdown / longer save times in the late game. The adventuring side (Killing monsters for their drops) did take up more time than I really wanted it to (You can change how many drops each monster gets if you don't want to play default mode) and making trains was not the most fun experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the game though and would recommend it for purchase.
