"Oh Darling! I Hate To Tell You This..." is a tired 2D retro pixel top down twin stick shooter. Yep, Steam really needed another one of those. Sure, there's literally thousands of them on Steam but we needed one more, right? Anyway in this one the pixel blob is supposed to be a little girl or something. Really, when developers can't do video game graphics, and we get left with all these pixel blobs, does it really matter? It's like asking why the aliens were invading Earth in Space Invaders. meh
The game itself is awful, from the bad art (even for pixel), to the way the enemies appear, bad weapons/skills choices and the fact that you repeat the same dialogues even after finishing the game once and can't just skip all at once. But yeah the story and the idea itself happen too much in real life, without the demons/angels part of course, so do yourself a favor and don't drink alcohol or do any drugs, even when the world sucks and everything crumbles around you, I've been there, I know you can go through it without those things.
