Kill the Demon Lord is a pretty funny idea because the game basically throws the final boss at me before I have even had a chance to become strong. Instead of spending hours building up my character before eventually fighting the Demon Lord, I am immediately thrown into a fight against her while I am still weak and unarmed. I actually like how the game turns the usual fantasy RPG setup into the joke itself. The Demon Lord has basically broken the rules of the game, and my job is to find a way around that. The combat is a top down bullet hell, so surviving is just as important as dealing damage. I have to move around the screen while avoiding attacks and look for opportunities to hurt the Demon Lord. The strange part is that she has access to abilities and attack patterns that would normally belong much later in an adventure. That makes the opening fight feel intentionally unfair, but the game gives me a simple advantage. I can come back after dying while she cannot, so I only need to win once. I like the way the game mixes the action with visual novel elements. There is more going on than simply fighting one boss over and over, and the story keeps playing with the idea that the D…

god... i can't even describe how good is this game i just hope i will see more games like this try it, endure it see you in 100 years...

Can I romance The Demon Lord

Fun little gem of a bullet hell, set to some fun music. There's some minor issues like the tutorial text going offscreen (doesn't seem intentional, even given the narrative conceit of the game). I appreciate the character design, the world leaves a bit to the imagination but we're all familiar with the tropes. I only really have a problem with the un-skippable text the way dashes work as a charge.

So, story and intro is great! However, not sure if this is a me thing or just the game but there's no ability to fullscreen the game and/or change the screensize. Really wish there was because my screen decided to cut off half of the bottom text dialogue and make it impossible to leave the game without closing it via steam 'stop' button. Overall, love the game so far, can play without this fix, but it is a [i] little [/i] annoying
