About One Drunken Knight

What dost hast happeneth last night?
You are a knight, a curse knight... You wake up in the desert, hungover, unable to remember what happened to you (obliviously). You find the an old Scottish owl, the guardian of the Holy Grail, just lying there next to your smelly bulk! He's got a foul mouth on him and tells you that you need to drink to stay alive and get special powers. Great lesson for the wee kids, I know...
You use your new-found powers to retrace your steps, drunk-box the skeleton army (which you awoke, of course), solve puzzles (often by peeing on them) and get back to your beautiful bride-to-be, all the while trying to piece together what happened last night.
It's a story of a medieval bachelor party gone very wrong... You'll need to escape the desert and find your way out of the Great Pyramid, make friends with different people and creatures to help you along the way, walk through a sexy-parrot-infested jungle, hire a skeleton pirate to get you across the sea (guess how that turns out), visit the underwater world of the sirens (of course), save a bunch of kids from fanatical priests, and so on. Fun for a very limited part of the whole family...
Gameplay is a "pee-zle" platformer with a rich story-driven humoristic conversation system. You've never played a game like this... And if you did, you're too drunk to remember anyway... Cheers!

It is about a knight who had a wild night at his buck’s party; he was drinking like there was no tomorrow, and when he wakes up with a terrible hangover, he needs to get back to his bride-to-be. But here is the big question, how on earth did he end up in Egypt? From what he vaguely remembers, he was in a medieval castle in France at the start of the festivities and then . . . a big blank! Now, with a liver in taters, he has to retrace his steps of the previous night for the right to marry his bride. It is a crazy story about One Drunken Knight. One Drunken Knight is a comical 2D Platformer with some puzzle elements developed and self-published by Professional Imagination on the 24 of November 2022 on the Steam platform. First, I would like to congratulate the developers for this extraordinary, unexpected, fun game, One Drunken Knight. I don’t think they were tipsy when they put the game together, as the creativity is just brilliant, the l…5 found this helpful
I was nicely surprised by this game's creativity, cleverness, and presentation - there's a lot of stuff here that would be reined in by a more corporate developer, to the detriment of the game. But I like the chances this dev took (as apparently only indie game devs are able to these days.) It's a sidescroller that doesn't feel like the same-old, and the charm of the game is undeniable. Graphics are good and stylized, I haven't stumbled into any bugs yet, the audio is especially top-notch (I want to ask the dev if they recorded the audio inside an actual theatre/auditorium, as it's very effective.) In terms of difficulty, take what I say here with a grain of salt - I find the game hard at times (I'm a turn-based gamer mostly, that's where the grain of salt comes in. I'm not that good at action-y games). In short - indie games in general need our support, and this one certainly deserves it.3 found this helpful
A humorous platformer with simple gameplay that effectively utilizes several stereotypes and jokes. Stay away if you can’t handle a camel tow and some nasty bugs. Guide a drunk English knight on a quest to make it back home in time for his own wedding after a stag party gone wild in Egypt. Tagging along is a foul-mouthed Scottish owl who you "rescued" from a pyramid. Unfortunately, your heroic deed also allowed an old curse to be broken, raising an army of skeletons. It's unfortunate that there aren't any voices since that would be pure hilarity. Characters speak like stereotypes and act like them. It moves from sophisticated "taketh" to pirate talk, and each style has its own font. If you are easily offended by vulgar language, you probably won’t enjoy the game. Expect to see plenty of explicit content, like drawings of lewd objects on pyramids and sexual actions involving animals. The crowd cheers, gasps, and applauds whenever something happens as the game is performed in front of them like a play. The entire screen is trying to draw the player in with shaky movements and double vision to represent the drunkenness of the knight, which I found distracting. If you play for lon…3 found this helpful
Weird, extremely drunk in all aspects (the text is fully uncensored and goes pretty far) but also very fun. Then it is also a bit clumsy and slow at time, so would benefit from some tuning. The music is really well suited to the action, the special effects are super fun, the sound effect mostly fitting. It reminds me of the Mighty Poo level in a famous game, which is great (and probably the only one). We need more games like that :)2 found this helpful
