"Operation: Cheek Clapper" is a rather mediocre joke game, the premise for the game is amusing for about 30 seconds, the game itself is amusing for less than 10. This is third person action "brawler", the idea is you do a "Naruto run" towards Area 51, which is full of aliens, and the objective is to smack them on the bottom. This is surely the future of gaming. What a time to be alive. Obviously this was a complete and utter failure that did not "go viral". I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. Operation: Cheek Clapper is one of those games that is so ridiculously silly that I could not help but smile. I am thrown into an alien base in the desert and my main goal is basically to run around while trying to smack green aliens with a charged up clap. The whole thing knows exactly how stupid the premise is, and I think that works in its favor because it never takes itself seriously. The gameplay is built around fast movement, aiming and timing. I have to charge my clap, close the distance and hit the aliens while bullets are flying around me. I liked how quickly I could understand the basic idea, because there is no complicated tutorial or huge collection of systems getting in the way. Once I start moving through the base, it becomes mostly about reacting quickly and trying to improve my score. The movement gives the combat a little more personality than I expected. I can ninja run through the environment, dodge incoming fire and use the movement to get into position for a good attack.
