About Operation Hardcore
Dateline: Earth, 1999. An unprovoked alien invasion is underway. You, a total badass, don't really appreciate it. You won't stand for it. You're downright outraged. You pack up some essentials--guns, cigars, whiskey--and head out into the night. Little do you know that tonight you will make history. This is: Operation Hardcore. Operation Hardcore is an action-packed 2D side-scrolling shooter inspired by classic twitchy action games of yesteryear, but with modern touches and conveniences.
- Fight your way past enemies using a range of weapons
- Double-jump your way around obstacles and hazards
- Activate your traditional plasma-based shield to deflect enemy fire
- Drink some whiskey to slow time and increase damage (...at the expense of mental clarity)
- Strap on a jetpack and get airborne for some classic forced-scrolling challenges
- Collect coins to purchase items, weapons and upgrades between levels
- Meet or beat level par times to earn yourself a brag-worthy Badass Rank(™)
- Grab a friend for some friendly and/or competitive 2 player local co-op
Game Features
- 12 levels of fiery, bloody, explosive-y alien-blasting mayhem
- 4 playable badasses

Operation Hardcore is a great side scrolling shooter, no doubt about it. It is somewhat limited in content and a very short experience, but for the price range we are talking about it is well worth it. If you are a fan of the genre, take it straight away and if, like me, you are not it still is a good experience with lots of fun.13 found this helpful
Go right. Shoot dudes.4 found this helpful
https://youtu.be/QSVczXQXh8Q Basic elements are competently made but core design of loss upgrades on death or weapon recoil are more frustrating than challenging.3 found this helpful
Not a bad little contra type game. I like the graphics and music. Controls don't feel *quite* as tight as I prefer but it doesn't ruin it. My biggest complaints are every time you shoot a bullet you kick back a bit and the so-called permanent upgrades like weapon cool down and rate of fire go back to zero when you continue.1 found this helpful
My personal review: ★★☆☆☆ It's a cool shooting game, but kinda glitch.
This game is utter smelly lines of plasma mans attitude arranged with a demolition derby car fisted a pump with volume bulbing cola striking a stupid hilarious preference globally...its decent but it doesnt really take a far knotch to be successful as a contra clone or a metal slug ripoff i give this game a 7.9/10 love the burrito master its an indicator of a incubus moon landing standalone piece of crap
