Opollo

This is a lot of game for 49 to 99 cents. It has a lot of polish, a lot of features, a game design that mostly holds together well, and has a calming music track. Even so, I just can't recommend it. The way upgrades are provided randomly, it feels like some missions can't be achieved if you don't happen to get just the right previous upgrades. In my case, as a last resort, I considered resetting the game and starting from scratch to hopefully roll a better mix of upgrades, but there doesn't seem to be a way to erase your settings and start a new game either. (It looks like they've done some updates in the past, so maybe they're still working on this.)

2D space shooter that offers a respectable amount of entertainment for a very very cheap price. Recommended if you like games like Geometry Wars and all that stuff

Opollo is a game that genuinely surprised me. There's not a whole lot here, but it is fun and enjoyable in small bursts. It also gives vibes of the [Adult Swim] bumpers circa 2009 and I'm here for it.

At first glance, I thought this would be just another typical space shooter game, but I was completely wrong! It offers unique controls and innovative gameplay elements that genuinely surprised me. I highly recommend giving this game a try; it's definitely worth experiencing!

Even at 49 cents it feels like a rip off. Feels WAY too zoomed in. Even the menu is bad.
