About Order from Caos 2
Order from Caos 2 is a pixel art turn-based RPG, created and developed by Renan Barreto from the White Vortex studio. The journey of Order from Caos 2 is unique and has more than 20 hours of gameplay, dozens of sidequests, items, special moves, and many puzzles to solve. Enemies walk across the maps and there are no random encounters. The players will walk through forests, cities, beaches, islands, temples, secret dungeons, hidden cities and will fight powerful creatures. The players will have a lot to do in the game if they don’t want to just follow the main story.
Order from Caos 2 has nothing to do with the events or characters shown in the first game in the series.
Order from Caos 2 tells the story of Thomas, a man who lost his family, murdered by a mysterious and cruel Knight of the Bratania Empire, known by the name of Asmodeus. Thomas embarks on a journey of revenge, vowing to destroy his most merciless enemy. However, there is one detail that could change everything, his family might’ve simply never existed at all. Haunted by both possible realities, Thomas needs to understand what is behind all this tragedy to define his future that intertwines with the future of all humanity, even if it is about him going to hell.
There are six playable characters in the main party. All of them have motives to fight the evil that is on the horizon.
Thomas: the protagonist of the story seeks revenge for the death of his family.
Miguel: Thomas' amusing friend has magical powers and tells a joke or two every now and then. He has the power to summon creatures in battle.
Daena: a strong woman who is tired of having to prove something to the people of her town.
Alicia: a sweet girl who wants to put an end to the atrocities committed by the Empire of Bratania, which oppresses her small town.
Sigmund: a man whose broken heart may never return to its original form. A strong warrior with medicinal knowledge.
Rob: a mighty warrior with a strong sense of justice, but a troubled past.
Together, they will fight ghosts from the past, armies of enemy Empires, beings from other dimensions, and even their own personal beliefs.
You can walk, run, jump onto certain places and even get in the water.
To be able to upgrade weapons and evolve the status of team members, the players will need to find Lumeni Points, luminous spheres scattered around the world but in another dimension. It is possible to find Lumeni Points in many areas of the game.
Each character has unique qualities and it's up to the players to position them correctly in the battle to get the best out of them. But beware. Some enemies can change the team's position mid-battle.
Each character has their own Skill Map. Each locked block can be opened in exchange for Lumeni Points. It is up to the players how to boost their characters. It can go the way of adding a new skill or opening the way to increase some stat of the hero in question.

"Order from Caos 2" is White Vortex Games’ second big JRPG, and it requires no knowledge of its predecessor. If you like epic old-school JRPGs with turn-based battles, this game should be right up your alley. Story: After experiencing a tragedy in what might or might not have been a dream, Thomas awakes in the coastal settlement Akmya. Memories from the "dream" are his only memories left, but his (self-proclaimed?) childhood friends Miguel and Daena swear that Thomas has lived his whole live in Akmya. There's something sinister going on, with beings of a higher plane and an evil empire involved, while monsters called "Viridi" roam the plains, and Thomas and his friends set out on a journey to find out the truth (and, of course, to save the world in the process while doing a lot of good along the way). The story is interesting enough to keep the player invested, and features some really gut-wrenching plot twists. Dialogues are competently written, and the characters (6 main party members, of which 4 can participate in battles) are believable and likeable. RPG Maker strikes again! You know you're going to have a bad time when the developer can't even spell the word "Chaos" in the title of their game properly. "Order from Caos(sic) 2" is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child". This one is from Brazil. Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality assets (notably a couple of the assets here seem to be custom instead of just copy + pasted RPG Maker stock assets... they look even worse than the RPG Maker stock pixelcrap assets the developer asset flipped here) coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. One of those games that I lose interest in after a few minutes. The game seems to place a lot of emphasis on exploration. Exploration, however, without any clues. This ultimately leads to having to walk the entire screen to possibly find an item. The combat seems to be the usual. Overall, a typical RPGMaker game, even if some of the sprites are hand-drawn. What always strikes me about these games is how little you learn about the background of the story up front. You're just thrown in and then (hopefully) get little snippets of the story bit by bit. If the game were free, I might recommend it. But I can't recommend it as it is. There are so many more interesting games out there.2 found this helpful
I can only echo Euphoniac and highly recommend this game. I enjoyed the original so much, I even spent over my £4.00 budget for a game which these days is extremely rare due to lack of funds. Thank you so much.2 found this helpful
