- Leaderboards: Compete against friends, enemies and other players in a race to the top on global leaderboards.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my VR gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/xUr5sLYzXv0 This is a fun & challenging VR supported shmup with a unique twist. You command your ship 360 around you while avoiding the bullet hell, picking up power-ups, and bringing down enemies. Spinning around your room while doing all that will definitely take some time to get used to. However, it's a fun challenge. If you're looking for a new kind of shmup, then I think this will fit the bill, especially in VR. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 5090, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs, although my motion controllers did stop working for a few seconds (I'm still not sure exactly what happened, I may have pressed a button accidentally). You do need to be able to spin around so either standing room is recommended or a swivel chair. Beware, you may get dizzy! Since simple shooting can get old very fast, there’s also a sword attack that wipes out everything within range, but it needs to recharge before it can be used. The unique mechanic comes from the boost ability, which lets you dodge enemy fire and damage enemies by boosting into them. Boosts stack up, but you need to time them correctly by triggering the next one just as the current boost is about to end. You can tell when this moment arrives by watching the circles overlap above your ship. Before you can replay stages in Stage Mode, you need to make progress in Arcade Mode through several stages containing multiple enemy waves. The area you fight in is circular and filled with enemies that must be hunted down before the timer reaches zero and ends the game. To help you locate enemies, a radar surrounds your ship and points toward every target. If you defeat them all, you move on to the next wave with additional time added to th…3 found this helpful
Wow, what can I say. Such a pleasure to play and so refreshing to have a classic 2d side scrolling game. Very fun and high octane, one slipup and you'll be regretting your life choices. From the textures and models to the audio and mechanics this is definitely one to play!2 found this helpful
