Welcome to P.U.R.G.A.T.O.R.Y! Experimental dark comedy sandbox time killer. Weave through the swarm of souls entering death wanting voyage into their next life. It is your position to judge souls upon arrival, do they deem worthy of entrance to your vision of heaven, or hell? Maybe they deserve to be ground into tomato soup. Hundreds of possible souls will enter, we're human and we ain't perfect.So... what can you do?

PLAY SESSION UNLOCKS
No hidden in-game purchases here. Put that ground soul juice to use on spendable abilities; cast Pestilence on souls and have their body gib into mush; perhaps something more tame? Have the devil perform an extreme cavity search on a handful of unfortunate souls!
- Thunderbordem: Bored, drunk, Zeus begins throwing thunderbolts down from the heavens, evaporating souls on impact.
- Happy Aneurysm: Extra strong brain freeze.
- Like A Bat Outta Hell: There's a chance that facility bats will yeet a soul into hell.
- Wee Boot: Mouse clicks allow you to tw@ a soul into heaven or hell.
- Holy Piss: For a long minute, weather reports suggest a chance of dissolving.

great game
I do not recommend this game. Initially it seemed promising, however... The "souls's" (NPCs to be "judged") descriptions are of incredibly tame, poor quality, with low variety and loaded with the developer's own moral, ethical and political bias as well as obscure in-jokes. Within minutes, I had seen several repetitions of descriptive elements and with some just changing position between the three categories: "Deeds, Sins and Notes" It quickly becomes apparent that projecting their beliefs is more important than creating an enjoyable player experience. The game will occasionally choose for you, contradicting the major selling point of "player's choice". In addition, the so-called game-play seem to revolve around shifting the player's focus away from actively choosing the soul's fates by judging their life based on their descriptive sheets, and instead becoming an idle grind of randomly killing souls off without judging them. The UI is clunky and have some, let's say "thoughtless" executions. The pixelated font is very small and difficult to read, with many characters being visually interchangeable. This game should probably be offered for free, or as a demo as it feels very bare…

Boring, slow, repetative. But you can get rid of all the people that annoy you online. So i guess i got to give it a thumbs up. And i forgot, it introduced my new favourite gender: Omni-ironical. Putting black back on the rainbow flag and making irony great again!
Price in its current state should be $0.99 or free, there's very little substance to the game overall. Unlocks don't save if you close the game and come back, and they're rather pointless anyway. They just either help you get more unlocks, or kill people in extravagant but underwhelming ways that ultimately amount to nothing. Other than that, the game is alright brain fodder, can be cathartic, and has potential to be actually good rather than just a guilty pleasure. Seems to be an abandoned project though.
