About Painkiller Hell & Damnation
Hell & Damnation is a fast-paced action shooter where you blast through hordes of demonic creatures across Purgatory using an arsenal of devastating, unconventional weapons. It strips away modern shooter conveniences like killstreaks and auto-heal to deliver pure, old-school demon-slaying mayhem powered by heavy metal and raw firepower.
Evil has returned! Demonic powers are manifesting themselves as a myriad of dark creatures, fighting over the fates of imprisoned souls caught in Purgatory.
Once again, it is up to Daniel Garner, in the unenviable position of being the Curse of Darkness and the Toy of Light, to fight his way past hordes of demons and fiends.
Questions remain… “Can he stop the powerful creatures that stand in his way? Will he ever leave the hell of Purgatory and be reunited with his wife Catherine?”
Painkiller Hell & Damnation is a fast-paced, thrilling modern remake of an all-action shooter Classic!

Trash game. Don't buy. Lost progress and got stuck because they spawned an enemy clipped behind walls. Spent several minutes wandering an empty arena with dramatic fight music playing and couldn't trigger the next wave because one stupid mob was off map.1 found this helpful
Its a good old school shooter. Don't go in expecting Doom (2016) levels of polish and quality. Enjoy it for what it is.
Got this for coop, not the best. first painkiller had better music maybe, but this one does not rock my socks off.
I wanted to like this game, the gothic theme and arena shooter aesthetic are interesting to me. The multiplayer is completely dead. Co-op simply does not work. The unskippable loading screen movies are extremely loud regardless of whatever volume setting the master volume is on, even at 0% volume of master volume the loading screen movies just are at max volume which is very fcking annoying. And lastly, the story, the cutscenes, they're just corny, like a less self aware serious sam. Also, to disable motion blur, you have to set postprocessing quality to "Very low", which is strange, why didnt they offer out-of-dev-console ways to do this from the menu.
https://youtu.be/FUxT1VBl7_M Combat arena after combat arena keeps the design and level space far to small to be compelling.
