Wow. PAPA’S TIME MACHINE really made me question my life choices. Like, why did I hit “Download”? Why did I not refund it in the 10-minute mercy window Steam gives you? You play as a dad (I guess?) who can shrink and grow like a dollar-store Ant-Man. The game tells you to “zoom in to observe carefully,” but joke’s on you — nothing helps. Everything kills you. A flower? Dead. A floor tile? Dead. Stared too long? Dead. The camera angles have the personality of a drunk drone, constantly spinning and clipping through walls. It’s “multi-angle viewing,” alright — just not the angles you want. The controls feel like you’re piloting a shopping cart on an ice rink, and don’t get me started on the music, which loops like a sad lullaby for broken dreams. They say this game is “dedicated to all the fathers in the world.” My dad saw me playing this and walked out for milk again. I’ll give it points for ambition. Maybe two. But PAPA’S TIME MACHINE is less an emotional journey through fatherhood, and more a fever dream of unfinished ideas and tiny hitboxes. Final verdict: uninstall this review is sarcastic papas is the best game ever1 found this helpful

The core gameplay is built around platforming combined with puzzle-solving, with one of its defining mechanics being the ability to alter the character’s size. This feature directly affects movement, jumping, and interaction with the environment, requiring players to constantly reassess how they approach obstacles. In theory, this mechanic introduces a layer of creativity and problem-solving, as different sizes can open or close paths and change how hazards are navigated. In practice, it leads to a mix of clever moments and occasional frustration, particularly when precise timing and positioning are req…
