Pato Box is an action-adventure title developed and published by Bromio that combines arcade-style boxing gameplay, environmental exploration, puzzle-solving, and surreal storytelling into an experience unlike almost anything else in the independent gaming space. Inspired by classic boxing games but determined to build an identity entirely its own, the game blends familiar mechanics with strange world design, noir-inspired visuals, and a bizarre narrative that grows increasingly unpredictable as the journey unfolds. What initially appears to be a stylish boxing game slowly reveals itself as something far more experimental and memorable. The story centers on Patobox, a professional fighter whose appearance immediately establishes the game’s unusual personality. Possessing the body of a powerful boxer and the head of a duck, Patobox exists inside a black-and-white comic-inspired world filled with mystery, corruption, and danger. Another day, another "I beg you Valve to give us a third option for mixed opinion". Also another "I really wanted to love this game". The pure monochrome of the graphics, no shades of gray except a few transparencies, is amazing and I wish more games used that. While characters and many assets are in 2D, even the 3D environments and objects look two-dimensional when standing still. It's so good that I can't even tell if some backgrounds in cutscenes or fighting sequences are drawings or stills from the 3D backgrounds. Textures include parodies of fine art and hilarious posters. Even if the visuals were more "traditional", there would still be the main gimmick: Punch-Out but also out of the ring, with a silent protagonist interacting through his gloved fists. It's a surprise the first time, to start with a traditional boxing match that is unwinnable for plot reasons, only to then move Patobox with tank controls within 3D environments, doing tasks and braving obstacles to reach the bosses. With the exception of a rematch with Kilpatrick, the hero is a Punch-Out character pitted against outlandish opponents that are anything but boxeurs, each with one or more gimmicks…1 found this helpful

This game doesn't work well on newer builds fullscreen but it's really good in windowed mode.
Non-satisfying combat that gets repetetive quickly, art-style and premise is really nice but if the game ain't fun to play than I cant recommend it.
