Patterns Of The Oak

Patterns of the Oak is a roguelike deckbuilder with a pretty unique approach. This game is not as much about strategy and deckbuilding, but more about card customization and drawing skill... Yes, because in this game you play your cards by drawing the pattern that appears on them, and you don't have a limited amount of energy, but a limited amount of seconds to draw as many patterns as you can every turn. Because of that, at the moment of deckbuilding you will need to take into consideration, not only what you need in terms of damage, defense and buffs, but also if you will be able to deal with the patterns required to cast them. Honestly, a really fresh twist to the turn-based roguelike genre that keeps you busier in terms of precision and reflexes, almost as if it was a shooter, than using the mind, so it might not be the cup of tea for every deckbuilding fan. Of course, you will still have to take into consideration some enemies' behavior when playing, as well as some synergies/combinations of cards while playing, so it's not all brawls, you still need some brains. Short and sweet! Polished mechanics and pretty fun to navigate. Cleared Normal difficulty on first ever run, tells me the game need to be much more challenging to be a Rougelike. Nonetheless, glad I played it and enjoyed it.

I played trough the Easy mode, im curious how much will be the game changed by difficulty. This game isnt for braindead ppl :D I like it. On thing im not so happy, if i wanna 100% the achivements, all i need to do is repeat the same things over and over again. Also ppl with touchscreen can have a ridiculous advantage in this game :)

Cheap game and tons of fun. I replay it every update and I love it. My recommendations would be to add an event that allows you to redraw the pattern of one of your cards, and I would like some more item variety. Really grateful to the dev for this, thank you.
