There are over 70 unique monsters that all want to cut your life short. Make sure you avoid their attacks and get them before they get you.Equip different weapons with unique abilities
Choose from 14 different weapons, each with different attacks. Use ranged, midrange and melee weapons. Combine attacks for maximum damage.Forage for materials to rebuild a destroyed town
Each level has items for you to collect. Use different tools to gather the ones you need to rebuild the town and buy upgrades.Upgrade your gear for maximum damage
The merchants in town will sell you upgrades to increase your chances against the monsters.Each merchant has unique upgrades and trade options.Story:
You get to a village that has been destroyed. Rebuild the village to attract different merchants and make survival easier. Gather materials while surviving against hordes of monsters. Find out what destroyed the village, because it might happen again.Periodicity - Hats and scars is a fast paced bullet heaven, auto shooter, horde herder game set in the wild west. Prepare for the fight in a small village. Venture into the woods, a quarry and other places to battle against hordes of monsters, bandits and unknown horrors. Beat big boss monster in every level, get loot, buy permanent upgrades and do it again. All while wearing a cool hat. Features:- Rebuild the village with materials from different levels.

Bought the game and had the unfortunate luck to realize the dev is a troll. Once you get far in the game you buy an item that is a bomb. Once you do it resets all your progress and you lose everything. Days of work gone. Thank God Steam saw this for themselves and refunded my money. A fast paced survival game that is easy to get absorbed into, the old school graphics feel nostalgic and the music makes you want to keep playing. The added integration into steams achievements keeps you coming back to unlock more to compete against others playing the game.2 found this helpful

[list] [*]Progression feels tedious with no real sense of growth. [*]Combat lacks variety, with no ranged attacks from enemies and underwhelming weapons for players. [*]Level design features overly large, empty maps, making exploration aimless. Enemies will accumulate in large groups that will never clear out due to the HP progression, leaving an unsatisfying experience, as I'd hope to be able to plow through particular low-level enemies over time. [*]Tasks are vague, leaving players unclear about objectives or goals. Some examples include an unlisted time frame to survive before returning to the hub, or retrieving an undetermined amount of supplies before reaching a milestone. These elements should be communicated clearly to players, so that they have a fun objective to work toward. [*]The UI feels disorganized and prioritizes a developer-focused layout over usability.
