Welcome to the Crypt
Battle through 24(+) waves of increasingly chaotic Pests to claim a victory against the Crypt and the mysterious Abyss that lies beneath it. This is an ideal opportunity for any alchemist to push themselves to the limit and test just how deep into the Crypt they can go. Attune to an element with your keyboard (1 2 3 4 5) or scroll wheel, then aim with a mouse to throw potions. This will consume Mana so be careful how you use your potions!The Crypt has difficult gameplay for all challengers, with an ascending difficulty system that can push even experienced alchemists, while remaining accessible at its early stages.
As you make attempts, earn Achievements that track your progress, unlock new events that can occur within the depths, and earn boons to make your future runs easier. You will need to make impactful choices as events occur: you may meet bizarre travelers within the depths, encounter traps and treasures, or unearth mysterious secrets of a long-lost civilization.
As you battle through the Crypt, you'll earn coins that can be spent in shops, tended to by a silent spirit. Purchase goods to strengthen your run and min-max your strategies. Further maximize your strategies by utilizing and upgrading your Active Item, which can be activated at any time with space or right click to activate one of many possible effects. Carve your Path through the Crypt by additionally upgrading a skill tree that you can build your run around.

It's such a cute lil game! I love scythe dude you play as. There's a pretty funny interaction during one of the events about the scythe being decorative though considering you fight with potions. The events and modifiers are nicely done. It's decently difficult once you get to the later waves so fun if you like a challenge. Got such wonderful retro vibes and definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a pretty mindless but fun game.3 found this helpful
Not the kind of game I usually play, so it should say something when it really sucked me in. I stop playing this game for months at a time but then keep returning to it. The game is simple in its ruleset, but the wide range of options make it so that the emergent gameplay is interesting, and just about every run is unique. The items and paths also seems highly and painstakingly balanced for the most part. If you struggle with the higher difficulty modes, consider reading the guide and / or collecting achievements for boons. Higher difficulty play was fun for the challenge, and Normal difficulty play for hitting very high wave numbers with impunity. Deleting vast hordes of pests with a single hit and synergising your build are some of the more fun aspects of the game. Music and pixel art is top notch too.2 found this helpful
