Nice and relaxing game to play, It took me awhile to understand what some of the units did but once you get the hang of what units to play around with the game is quite fun.3 found this helpful
Great tower defense with a unique twist on your health, you lose gold instead of hp or something so you have to play around your economy during build phase to make sure you still have enough to mitigate anything that gets through your defenses. Also you can make a building that spawns scarabs to eat everything alive and it is SO satisfying watching them munch through an entire line of mobs stuck under a slowing tower.2 found this helpful
A good game for all creatura with stashing impulses who is serious about defending said stash. Also congratz to one space cat birb for a first published game on steam~
not intuitively made, not fun
I'm not usually a tower defence kinda gal, but I got sucked in and lost an entire afternoon to this, and I'm still planning to play more. The campaign is cute and silly, and I quite enjoy designs of different towers (hehee, snek basket). Absolutely worth the cost and losing a few afternoons to this. If I had a criticism, it's that as of writing this, if you run an ultrawide screen you need to force the game to run in 16:9 aspect ratio via steam launch commands. And I still have no idea what Sticky Fingers effect actually does.
While I was a little cautious about the game, because usually strategy games frustrate me too much, this game is so much fun!! I was able to get the hang of it pretty easily and I love the story portion of it. The 8-bit art is so cute, but also has a lot of character. I definitely recommend playing the Free Play first if you want to practice some of the strategy of all the towers. When I got a streamkey for this, I could only do the Free play which was great because it helped me learn and experiment with lots of strategies to beat the waves. I am an Egyptologist and love playing (and streaming) Egyptology themed games, so there were also so many easter eggs in this game! I admire how the dev and the artist really researched and packed stuff into the game. Not a lot of other games put that much effort into it and pretty much just wing it and get a lot of stuff wrong.
