In Pirate's Gambit, you step into the eerie gamble left behind by Captain Kidd. To survive, you must build your deck wisely, master the dice and items, and make each move count. I'd advise beginners not to jump straight into copying guides. A huge part of the fun in this game comes from figuring out your own strategies. The satisfaction of discovering a powerful combo that no one has mentioned yet is even better than the win itself.1 found this helpful
Imagine Slay the Spire and Balatro went out to a bar. Met a Pirate that loved craps and they had a three way. It's my story so they all made a baby. Pirate's Gambit is that baby. If you like two of the things I mentioned then buy this game. Value for fun is off the charts.1 found this helpful
I've seen some ad for that game and thought: oh that could be something for me, since it reminded my of both inscryption and a little bit of ballatro. To be fair - it falls short of both. It's far from the depth of Inscryption and it's dice and cards mechanic is far from Ballatro. Nevertheless it's a fun game on it's own. It has lovely ideas and is well executed. It might need some polish here and there to better communicate the scoring or card limits or have some qol updates like shredding a card without first clicking the little munching chest. I bought it for under 10 EUR and would say - it's definately worth that.
