About Plague Breaker
Plague Breaker is a retro roguelike platformer with RPG elements. Pick your class and ascend a procedurally generated castle filled with undead monsters and corrupted plague doctors. Level up your character and find items, weapons and traders along the way before taking on each floors boss.
Pick your class
Heavily inspired by Rogue Legacy, Binding of Isaac, and Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. Plague Breaker features procedurally generated levels that expand as you progress further into the castle. Explore and collect weapons and magic items to prepare yourself for the boss fight, and defeat the boss to level up and explore each classes branching skill tree. Be careful though, as death is permanent!
Combine Abilities
Multiclass across class trees and combine class abilities to create unique characters. Combine Warrior's Weapon Expertise with Rogue's Sneak Attack to deal massive damage! Trap enemies in the Hunter's bear trap and blow them up with Mage's Fireball! Or create some other unique combination as you unlock new classes and items to ensure that each run plays and feels like a new adventure.
Create your own class
Use the Class Creator to create a custom class! Create a unique class tree with abilities, weapons and items you've found in previous runs!
Join with a friend in Local Splitscreen Co-op and explore the dungeon together! Create unique party combinations with each player creating their own character as they progress, and work together to unlock new items and classes for future runs.

Really solid Roguelite that's quite underrated. While Plague Breaker never reaches the level of polish or gameplay highs from the titles it draws inspiration from, it manages to carve out it's own niche that has a certain charm in its simplicity. I would say it would be similar to if you took a classic NES Castlevania and turned it into a Roguelite and even added co-op to it. Just like in a classic NES title, the mechanics, controls, stages ,and enemys are all simple in design which allows for clear understanding of what's happening. Given the increasing complexity of the modern Roguelite, I think there's a certain appeal in that for a lot of people, particularly fans of classic games.1 found this helpful

This is a fun game I enjoy playing in local co-op. It has some bugs and quality of life issues but the dev is still making updates and cares about the game, which I appreciate.
Changing my review to positive (was originally negative because the last 2 achievements were bugged) because the Developer actually came back to the game, fixed the issues & it's possible to be 100%'ed now! Just got my 100% :) Overall review - Game is short, doesn't have much content (for now) but it's pretty fun! It reminds me of Castlevania but without the janky controls. There is enemy & boss variety although it could get stale within 5-10 runs.
Been a while since I last played it, but it was good. Expect some bugs.
