A decent tower defense game that gets the job done if you're looking for a quick strategy fix on a lazy afternoon. Building mazes and upgrading turrets against alien swarms is satisfying, though the progression feels a bit shallow once you find a winning meta. It lacks the depth of genre giants, but it's fun enough for a weekend playthrough.

So I build a bunch of miniguns because they apparently ignore armor. Even during the first level a few waves in they start doing no damage against basic enemies. No problem - I build a rocket launcher because no enemies are shown to have resistance to it. Spoiler: it ends up doing LESS damage than the Level 1 minigun. Nice "less for more" scheme we have going on there. It is just another tiring trial-and-error thing except it makes even less sense than an average TD game.

I have no idea how this game has mostly positive reviews... this game is bad. The levels are bland and in some cases just carbon copies of each other, there is no story or even a tutorial to start the game, the upgrades are laughable, ranging from completely useless to infinite money loops. There is almost no information on what "rarity" means. The acheivements are all grinding for X amount of kills and building X amount of towers.. I can't fathom how this game ever went through early access, like what could possible have been missing from this that it needed an EA period?

A real slog of a game. Not very deep gameplay and systems which are easily explotable for hollow victories. I sunk hours into this for the achievements and would not recommend.

Have they announced yet when they will release the game from alpha?

I'm torn whether to recommend this game. At its current pricepoint (~€2.5 with frequent discounts) most of its shortcomings can probably be overlooked, but then again there's tons of free games in the genre that offer a better experience. It can be simple, straight-forward fun for a while, but don't expect a special or even polished experience. This game feels like a cheap mobile game, both for its controls and scope. It's simple, but that's okay - what is disappointing is the overall "rushed development" feeling one gets while playing it. It appears to have been made for a game jam, but not developed further - if you're okay with this, getting it for €1-2 is alright. - Visuals: Few, repeated assets, though the lo-poly aesthetic works. - UI: Bad. The mouse cursor is too small and doesn't stand out, and is hard to spot sometimes. The tower range preview is wrong; two towers with a different range (e.g. if one of them is upgraded) will have the same range preview when placing. Once placed, one can't see the stats or even the type of tower (at least the type can be visually identified, but that's also hard especially for beginners). - Gameplay: Straight-forward, static placement…
