About Plantera 2: Golden Acorn
Build and customize your dream garden from a tiny plot into a lush sanctuary while the adorable blue Mellows automatically tend crops, harvest plants, and help you grow a magical oak tree that reaches toward the sky. Enjoy complete creative freedom to design your garden at your own pace—whether actively harvesting and defending against invaders or kicking back to watch your passive income roll in, even while you're away.
Start with nothing more than a small flat plot of land and a few vegetable crops to harvest for money. You must buy additional crops and gain experience and money to level up your garden and unlock new and more advanced crops and items. Adorn your garden with decorations and watch as your garden grow more lush than ever before with new flora and get populated by new animals, both in the sea, on the ground and in the sky.
If you want you can pluck trees and harvest plants yourself, or let your Mellows do the work for you while you watch or build and invest in new plants. The Mellows will even continue to work and tend to the garden while you are not playing the game.
Adorn the garden how you see fit with a collection of decorations including a variety of flowers, mushrooms and water plants. As you play you will unlock new items and as you continue to expand and improve your garden your magic oak tree will grow ever bigger with it, soon reaching its crown to the sky and beyond and maybe even discover its secrets.

This game is much better than I expected. I played the first game many years ago too, but I felt like somenting was missing. However, a few years later, Plantera 2 came out and it far exceeded my expectations. The game is simple, runs smoothly on any computer, and is extremely cute. But I want to point out that it is a clicker game, so if you like games of this genre, I am sure you will love it. I love the fact that they kept many things from the first game, but improved them and made them much better. I wish the game had a few more settings, such as changing the resolution, because right now it feels like I'm playing on a smaller monitor. Is it worth buying? I can't speak for you, as this depends from person to person, but I got it on sale and it was absolutely worth it. My final rating for the game is: 9.5/10.69 found this helpful
Compared to the first game, Plantera 2 is so much better. It features over twice the amount of content and keeps you busy with many more clickable items and meaningful upgrades. There's new powerful endgame content as well. I would say that this game perfects the feeling of scaling in idle games, and a comparison shows why. The ultimate goal of both games is to get to level 100. It felt like an artificial extension to gameplay time in the first game because there's nothing interesting to do past a certain point and the rest of the game is checking back every hour or so for the level up. In this game however, the constant stream of upgrades and satisfying gameplay kept me actively playing until the very end (except a break in the middle). If you're looking for an idle game that's fun to play, this game would be an excellent choice.
It's alright. Not a whole lot going on in terms of gameplay but that's more or less to be expected of an idler. I think the game's strongest aspect is it's soul and visual style.
i played the og liked it then played this game even more 10/10
I definitely think this is an approvement on the first game. There are more ways to make gold, there's a secondary currency that allows for further upgrades (including "god mode" upgrades to thinks like growth and harvest speed). If I had to choose between playing the first one and playing the second one, I'd take the second one. A good idler to have on in the background when you do other things for sure.
fun with good pacing
