Poly Puzzles: Cats is yet another mobile app copy+paste/asset flip/cash grav from Cute Hannah, who do nothing but copy + paste the same basic mobile app game templates onto Steam (they've done this with their series of POG copy+pastes, a series of "Memory" asset flips, now they're doing it with a basic tile/jigsaw). This is just a ultra simple game where you assemble a picture, this version of the asset flip has a few stock images of cats that the developer ripped off from somewhere. It's a blatant cash grab, with zero depth or value as a game, a joke $2 cash grab price, and of course it was dumped into DailyIndieGame bundles at launch. Cute Hannah have performed this specific asset flip 5 times, with different tiles to match, but otherwise the same game. Cats, Dogs, Birds, and Furries (which tells you all you should need to know about this "developer"). Since you can play this kind of game for free in a web browser if you really wanted to, I can't recommend anyone should pay money for this cash grab pollution.

I've played and reviewed this game under different names already. Since I don't want to repeat myself, and this game has little to talk about anyway, I will be concise. The devs have found a real-life infinite-money exploit (as many devs on Steam, and even AAA titles like FIFA have), by taking the same template (in this case, for a puzzle game) and changing it slightly. This time, it has a cat theme. In my opinion, these games should be available for free on mobile games. Being a PC game is not a sin, but it's more of a "waiting for the bus" game which fits a mobile phone better than a desktop PC (maybe a Steam Deck or a laptop?). Aside from the limited turns being a possible point of frustration, especially in later levels, it can indeed be relaxing otherwise. You click two tiles, and they swap. The number of turns is limited. There are 50 levels, with increasing difficulty. Selecting the same tile twice still costs you a turn. Unselecting tiles shouldn't lose you a turn. Sometimes, the game doesn't register when a puzzle is solved, so I had to swap tiles twice for the game to realize that it is solved. Can't recommend. Credit for the look and feel, but this comes off as a template that just get filled in with some images and packaged as a game. It lacks in variety and game play. The art isn't bad, but a bit weird at times. If you are a fan of things with cats, this might be worth checking out if you get for free (won my key in a giveaway), but I wouldn't buy it.
