About Programming Simulator

You are a game developer, working diligently at a small, unremarkable company. Every day, you write code, optimize performance, and fix bugs for various projects. But deep down, you hold onto a dream that has never faded—to create a game that is truly your own.

Features

  • Intuitive node connections: Easily build program logic by dragging functional nodes, memory nodes, etc. Each node has a detailed explanation button to help you understand its function.
  • Dynamic visual effects: When nodes run, the connecting lines display different color flow effects based on data types, making the program's operation process clear at a glance. When dragging connection points, the target connection point dynamically extends a hand to interact with the currently dragged connection point, adding fun to the operation.
  • Cute interactive prompts: When dragging connection points, a cute cat pops up above all connectable nodes, playfully telling you "What I can do," making the connection process more intuitive and fun.
  • Rich task system: Start with simple tasks and gradually delve deeper, challenging your programming skills. Ultimately, you can use built-in art assets (such as graphics and animations) or import custom materials to create a unique personal game.
  • Support for custom art assets: Import graphics, animations, and other materials you create to make the game more personalized and fully express your creativity.
  • Graphic nodes: Display graphics in the result window, intuitively showcasing your creative achievements.
  • Animation nodes: Create animations in the result window to make your game more lively and interesting.
  • Support for the Workshop: Through the Workshop, you can share your game creations, download works from other players, and exchange ideas with them.

Suitable for Players

  • Beginners interested in programming: Learn the basics of programming through gamified methods, easily get started, and embark on your programming journey.
  • Those who want to learn programming fundamentals in a fun and easy way: The gamified node connections and task system make learning programming simple, understandable, and full of fun.
  • Those who wish to cultivate logical thinking and interest in programming: Start with simple tasks and gradually delve deeper to help you easily get into programming and mathematical logic.
  • Those who want to enhance their thinking abilities while having fun: By completing programming tasks and creating games, you can exercise logical thinking and problem-solving skills while gaining a sense of achievement.
  • Those who enjoy hands-on creation and personalized expression: Support for importing custom art assets, combined with graphic nodes and animation nodes, allows you to create unique game works and showcase your creative talent.
  • Those who love programming and enjoy the joy of creation: Challenge your programming skills in the game world, experience the creative process from scratch, and feel the charm of programming.

I purchased this game to play with my son so that he can learn basic game programming concepts. This game is great for that, compared to other programming games that focus on much lower level assembly type programming and focus on solving severely resource constrained puzzles, this game works at a much higher level where general game development concepts are tied into functions similar to using an actual game engine. We are not too far into the game at the moment, but so far we are having fun and I am getting my money's worth for the price point that this game is at. This game is rough around the edges but the node programming is very straightforward and my son seems to be grasping the concepts quite well. For a better experience I recommend switching the connections from the grasping hands to the normal setting to prevent the wrong input grabbing the node on a regular basis. I have not found a key combo for copy and paste operations, but I am very glad that they exist, I am hoping that the developer(s) implement this functionality. If you are looking for a slick and polished game this may not be the one for you. However, if you are looking for a game that quickly gets you to…
