About Project II: Silent Valley

Project II: Silent Valley is part of the broader "计划 Projects" universe, but each title in this series is a standalone story. No prior knowledge of previous games is required to fully enjoy this one. Think of it as a different chapter set in the same world — connected in spirit, but narratively independent.Project II: Silent Valley is a narrative-driven game that blends visual novel storytelling, card-based combat, and open-world exploration. It tells the intricate and emotional story of the gentle naval commander Hierophan Hemersfield, his temporary deputy—the special operations officer Osprey—and his long-lost friend Ochira Blazemor. In this dystopian parallel America, the “Nodomain Consortium (N.C.)” has overthrown the traditional government. The current United States is divided between two major powers: the militarized "N.C. Government," which controls most regions with an iron grip, and the remnants of the former regime, known as the "Old Government." Beneath the surface of peaceful coexistence, a fierce power struggle is intensifying… In this world dominated by alienation and authoritarianism, how will you, as a reformist, make your choices?
  • A visually striking near-future aesthetic
A carefully crafted blend of Brutalism, retro-futurism, and Wabi-sabi design styles brings each region to life with its own unique and harmonious visual identity. Complemented by custom-composed regional soundtracks, the result is a truly immersive experience with no repetition.
  • Deeply developed character ensemble
From a seemingly submissive special ops soldier to a sharp, enigmatic base commander bound by duty, each character hides a layered emotional core and a captivating backstory—waiting for players to uncover.
  • Rich world exploration
Discover hidden character dialogues, classified documents, and military files during your freeform exploration. Every room conceals forgotten secrets, and your deputy Osprey will provide professional analysis of all materials you collect.
  • Strategic and luck-driven card battles
With 80 unique cards, each featuring its own lore and skill set, you’ll engage in gripping intelligence duels with base personnel. Execute powerful combos to advance the storyline through battles full of both strategy and chance.

Holy hell, I have never been immersed in a visual novel like that before, the characters, the writing, everything about it was very well done. Genuinely one of the few visual novels that got me hooked on reading documents and at the same time, creating that suspense as the story progresses - definitely recommend!!

This game hooked me from the start with its striking visuals and distinct characters. It brought together thoughtful analysis of its characters' individual circumstances and personalities with the larger politics of their dystopian society, creating quite the immersive world. It brought a fresh take on the topic of Reformism vs Revolution in a corrupt system without being overly preachy or tedious. It really did feel like such a believable alternative to 21st century America, what with its militarized government, sharp class divides, and strict control over its population. Hierophan was intriguing as the main character as it could sometimes get ambiguous on whether his gentle charm is just a reflection of his manipulative emotional abilities, but it's clear that he truly does care for others. Osprey was quite sympathetic as a victimized character but who had a quiet strength as well. Ochira and her lovers I felt sympathetic to, despite their objectionable plans... The visceral pain from Ochira's past trauma led her to be quite the tragic and yet fierce, compelling character. All in all, the characters and their relationships all shined, and I grew quite invested in all of their…

Pretty impressive. Probably wouldn't have played this if I didn't get a curator key, but I'm rather happy I did. Not exactly pleasant, but quite powerful. Looks at power and it's diseases in this particular dystopia. I got all achievements on the first playthrough, and it doesn't seem there is much non-obvious optional content. You are just along for the predetermined ride, but it can be an interesting experience nonetheless.

### Project II: Silent Valley Review **Project II: Silent Valley** from GoldenBlade is one of those games that immediately caught my attention with its visual style. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, and the overall atmosphere gives the game a distinctive identity that kept me interested throughout my time with it. This is a very story-driven experience, and I mean that literally. There is **a LOT of reading**. If you're looking for a game where you're constantly running, fighting, and jumping from one action sequence to another, this probably isn't going to be your cup of tea. But if you enjoy slowing down, exploring a story, learning about the characters, and letting the world unfold, there is a lot here to appreciate. The game blends visual-novel storytelling with exploration and RPG elements, creating something that feels more focused on its narrative and atmosphere than nonstop action. The dystopian setting and underlying mystery give the story plenty of room to pull you in, while the visual presentation does a great job of making the world feel distinctive. What really worked for me was the combination of **story, atmosphere, and art direction**. The game has a very …
