Solace State: Emotional Cyberpunk Stories

A very well-written game that basically anyone nowadays should play, as it reflects a lot of the evils of current society. It goes into depth about the plight of the downtrodden and the importance of community, learning to take your victories where you can and how vital it is to work both in small ways and when/how to choose when to go big. The characters are nuanced and varied, the plot balances highs and lows, and you'll come out of with a lot to think about.

the game is quite interesting for the genre, i think it deserve some more recognition. I rly like the characters and especially the way the devs handle the story into more of a "political realistic" approach. Like sure we r hackers! but we r only normal people too. would lov to see more of the dev in the future since it has been a few years since the release.

Nice story and characters. The sequence of attending the event in the park surprised me in a very pleasant way. It was nice to see a quiet, person to person part of the story.

As someone who enjoys sci-fi, the cyberpunk setting initially caught my attention. It is well researched and believable, and provides a solid foundation for the story. The main character, Chloe, is an unusually compassionate protagonist. She consistently puts herself on the line for her friends, stands up for what she believes in, and approaches difficult situations with empathy and integrity. Her approach to people and difficult conversations is one of the most interesting parts of the story. The dialogue feels natural. Characters have distinct personalities and energy levels, and react to situations in believable ways. Conversations don't feel like people taking turns delivering speeches. They feel like people listening, disagreeing, encouraging each other, joking, and balancing each other out. This makes it easy to become invested in the cast. After a slightly slow start while the setting and cast are established, the story finds a good rhythm between quieter character moments, planning, and action. The public speeches are particularly effective, and the final confrontation provides a satisfying conclusion. The main theme song also deserves a mention. Its melancholic quality…

Great indie VN. Choices that actually matter. Good soundtrack. Wonderful art direction. The camera panning really adds something to the presentation. Ran great for me. Has zero crashes or problems. If you are interested in ethic based choices in a cyberpunk setting, this will fit your needs.
