For the price of this game it is really good. The art style is cute and old-school. The controls are easy and the gameplay is also not so bad. The big thing is that you cannot skip a fight, so if you are not ready for the fight and the fight is activated, you will die and have to start from the beginning. It is therefore VERY IMPORTANT to continually save the game.

PROTEST is an independently developed role-playing game created by CUTE ANIME GIRLS and published by Tranquility games. At first glance, it appears to be another modest anime-inspired RPG built with familiar tools and mechanics, but its premise gives it a slightly different identity. The game follows two young women attempting to stay together despite living in a society plagued by violence, intolerance, and unrest. While its themes are more ambitious than its presentation suggests, the experience remains grounded in the conventions of low-budget indie RPG design. The story carries much of the game's appeal. Players accompany the protagonists as they travel through an unfamiliar city, facing criminals, overcoming obstacles, and meeting a cast of supporting characters who help shape their journey. The narrative emphasizes loyalty and perseverance, with the relationship between the leads serving as the emotional anchor throughout the adventure. Although the dialogue occasionally suffers from uneven translation and simplistic writing, there is a sincerity behind the game's attempt to tackle ideas surrounding acceptance and human connection. It may not explore these subjects with grea…

This game is just confusing. Based on the achievements, I'd guess I'm about 75%+ of the way through, and I still have no clue wtf the story is supposed to be. The CGs are fine - but you don't get to actually see anything; it isn't being censored, it just something always happens to be in the way. The game is subject to errors with disturbing frequency. Between that, the shortness, and the *ahem* story (if there even is one), I can't recommend this. 2/10

The art is decent. Single "Ecchi" scene lasts for like a second (as far as I know it's the only one in the game apparently). The game itself makes no sense. It appears to half jokingly make positive propaganda puns in favor of Communism while at the same time the characters themselves that join your party are gay, striking little jabs (as "it's all jokes guys, calm down) here & there to call others NPC's as "homophobic". It's like the developer themselves over exaggeratingly project that this is what they think Conservatives think of Communism & Homosexuals, it's a complete & total wreck of super toxic political "Progressive Wokeness". When in reality, most conservatives probably don't give one iota if someones sexual preference happens to be the same sex, as it also completely misrepresents arguments that conservatives view on communism in favor of capitalism. If the developer(s) aimed goal was to promote a certain political agenda with this, I think they failed to hit a bullseye as it's just overall poorly written. The English translation doesn't even matter as you generally can gather the gist of what the dialog is trying to say anyways. Anyways, I rate this game a 1/10. Gre…
