About Pure Football 2018
Pure Football 2018 is a fully featured American Football Simulator that draws inspiration from the classic football games of the 2000's.
Get away from the animation based modern football games where linebackers have 10 foot verticals and corners have eyes in the back of their head and get back to real football.
In Pure Football, General Managers and Coaches have personalities and tendencies. Different coaches run different schemes which need different players. General Managers trying to fill those needs have different philosophies on how to do so. Are they aggressive in free agency? Do they reach in the draft? Are they willing to trade away their future for a chance to win the championship now? Watch as your league evolves as Coaches and General Managers get hired and fired around the league.
Pure Football 2018 is set in the age of leather helmets and classic uniforms. Dive into the 1930's styled office with music from another time. Enjoy the classic feel with modern game play.
Play your seasons with the including teams or use the custom roster editor to make your own leagues, teams, players, and coaches. Check out the forums to share yours or try someone else's.
There are two categories of updates: planned and hopeful. Planned updates are going to be done and released in a very timely manner. Hopeful updates are features that I want to add but there may be limitations that can't be overcome- this game game is being made by one person. This game is not worth $15. It' s barebones, a proof of concept. But not worth $15. The UI is barebones, there's lag, and so much that leaves much to be desired. Also the fact that as of this review (6/13), there have not been any news updates in a month. That's worrying for a game this basic.7 found this helpful
1- Forever early access 2- After working on my team for 30 hours, eventually it bugs and it makes the franchise non-playable anymore. They admit it and i never made another team after that because it demends a lot of work. 3- Expensive The hype i got early was nice but the fact that the game bugs after 1 or 2 seasons really killed the fun.4 found this helpful
I have to give this a recommendation of not to buy. Started out with promise ( were have you heard that before in early access) but updates have not come since the july, with no word from the developer. He started hot out of the gate with updates but then turned to saying that he is burnt out. No penalties in the game, an extreme lack of polish and not a clear word on what is in store. It is a waste of funds at this point.4 found this helpful

Fun game, so much potential. However, it is very difficult to play with a keyboard. Hopefully the controls can get tweaked a bit (adding the ability to throw the mouse would free up keyboard for better controls.) At this current stage, I can see the depth of this game and very much enjoy it. 8/10 With better controls, but as of right now I would give it a 6. Definitely has potential.1 found this helpful
