Thumbs up for the idea and an overall good execution. Not a terribly complicated game and for someone like me who is trying to learn python, it's the right blend of engaging and informative. Certain things, like in the integer section of the game making you type the year "2024" when it's 2025, could be fixed. I will say also in the "example scrolls" it would be cool if you gave a little bit more of an explanation, such as with arrows pointing to what is what - the only reason I was able to correctly interpret the scrolls is because I have experience with other programming languages, but for someone absolutely brand new, that might not be as intuitively captured. These suggestions come out of love - this is a great game and I wish more things like it existed.

The game itself was good, I liked it. Not overly fond of platforming in education games (I suck at platforming, so it makes it difficult to focus on what I need to learn), but otherwise I liked it. The reason I'm giving it a negative review is because I couldn't figure out how to close the game when I wanted a break from it! There was no exit button! The only way I could get out was to hit alt-control-delete and then sign out of my computer.

Searching for the term "platformer" on Steam gives you over 17,000 results... there's thousands and thousands of garbage tier platformers infesting Steam. "PY-ONEERS" fits right into that category of retro 2D shovelware glutting the Steam store. Only a tiny number of those are any good, and this isn't one of them. This was an attempt to make an educational platformer where the platforming is interspersed with puzzles that require some basic Python coding skill to solve... yeah, that's it. This is one of those things that doesn't make learning Python better, but it does make gaming worse. The platforming genre is pretty much obsolete... just a tiny number of professionally developed platformers exist on PC and offer any real value or interest to gamers (Silksong, etc). This is nowhere near being as good as Hollow Knight or Silksong. Even without a price tag, it's easy to see why gamers ignored this in favor of modern, professionally developed 3D games. This is offering nothing new or interesting, so it's easy to see why this failed. The developers gave up on this 11 months ago. It's destined to remain unfinished. This junkware is just polluting Steam and making it difficult …

Never knew about Pandas, this opened a new fun fun tool for me to explore and I appreciate that.

Awesome game for beginners starting off. Wondering how far does it go with Python.

It's decent if you want to get the basics for Python. However, it would have been better if it let me actually code to solve puzzles. It's essentially a platformer to test your Python knowledge.
