Quest of Vidhuraa is a 2D retro platformer written in Java (of all things). The game has you controlling some MS-Paint tier triangle headed protagonist jumping past the usual allotment of rotating saw blades and spikes for some reason or other. I like that the developer chose to opt for terrible hand drawn/MS-Paint tier "art" instead of the usual 2D retro pixel "art". Unfortunately, it's still terrible. I also like that this isn't an outright asset flip, and the developer seems to have genuinely tried to make a video game here. Unfortunately there's a plethora of problems. Aside from the fact that the visuals in the game are eye damagingly bad. The game is exceedingly buggy and will crash if you do things like alt + tab, change the resolution, or attempt to start playing the game. A lot of this springs from the way the game was made using Java. Writing games in Java is a lot like driving a car using only your feet. It is possible, but it's not a good idea, and it's likely to end up in a disaster. Like Quest of Vidhuraa.2 found this helpful
