So some slightly past her prime Russian broad has a real complex or pathology-level, probably, animus against people with genetic dwarfism*. She buys a gun from her loser brother to go wipe out the population of them she is convinced live in the mean sewers of Moscow or wherever in Russia the game takes place. Then they make things personal by kidnapping her brother, and we're off on an adventure. The premise sounds like a Troma movie, and in my opinion it's the perfect setup for a perfect, very simple game. Radioactive Dwarfs has a lot of atmosphere, it has simple cinematics that make its story live, a great soundtrack, and the punchy, rewarding sound design for things like shooting, collecting items, getting points, and progressing that a game like this needs to have. The only slightly worrying thing are the sensual-sounding vocalizations the main character makes when she gets killed or trapped in an obstacle. It's not really out of keeping with what those kind of sampled sound effects probably would have been in the era which this game emulates, but I feel like we could have done without them.
