About Rags to Dishes

Chef to impress and put your VR skills to the test...
Rags to Dishes is a single player, virtual reality (VR) cooking game where you’ll have the chance to travel back in time to the medieval ages and serve some delicious dishes to hungry villagers!
You’ll start out as a cook for Peasants with the ambition of cooking food for the Royal court and becoming the best chef in the land. The recipes will change during each of the three stages and you’ll be able to buy upgrades along the way to help you earn more coins.

- 6+ hours of campaign cooking
- Frantic 5 minute mode
- Online leaderboards
- 3 stages: Peasants, Nobles & Royals
- Upgrade your kitchen
Your journey to success won’t be easy, it’s ferociously fast paced and many obstacles will stand in your way (including that pesky bird who always tries to steal your coins!) You’ll have to keep your customers happy in order to move through each level and create your recipe for success!

This is both a good cooking game AND a good VR game. It keeps recipes/cooking mechanics simple with a steady increase in difficulty that adds on more, still simple, tasks that lead you to juggle things. It has breathing room for prepping things to make future orders easier and doesn't penalize you for doing so. But it also makes good use of being a VR game by giving you a need to actually move, but not excessively so. Unlike some cooking games (*cough* Cooking Sim VR *cough*), it feels intuitive and not like something that was made with the VR mechanics as a secondary thought. It also gets bonus points from me for being set up in a way that makes motion sickness not possible, because it keeps the space small enough to not need any kind of character moving mechanic. Overall, having a lot of fun playing this so far - still only in the first level of it but definitely looking forward to 100%'ing this thing!
weirdly action packed and fun. this is better than half life alyx
Not a bad game. Doesn't open
Mostly fun. wish it was more replayable.
Tons of fun! Got it on sale for $2 and it was easily money well spent! Highly recommended if you like fast paced cooking games that are a challenge!
You cannot move with the joystick or otherwise move around except for turning irl. Meaning if you have a wall next to you irl or are otherwise in a small play space, you can't get to the ingredients or tools you need to make something because you'd have to reach 2 feet through a wall and you can't move your character. So not worth it unless you have a wide play area. You need full 360 degree area around you to move you walk freely. About 3 feet in all directions. If you don't have that, you will not be able to craft some recipes or reach things around you. It looks fun and I wish I could play it, but I can't.
