About Rain Blood Chronicles: Mirage
Told as a “Wuxia” story, which literally means "martial hero", Mirage captures the essence of a broad genre of Chinese fiction concerning the adventures of martial artists.
Shrouded in secrecy, an organization of assassins wreak havoc on the local populace. Two assassins Soul and Shang, find a window of opportunity to strike while all their enemies can be found in one place. Their mission is simple: take down all their enemies or die in the attempt. They will face many challenges and discover lost secrets as they embark on a perilous journey against terrible odds.
Take control of Soul and Shang and wield two separate martial arts styles to defeat their foes.
Soul is an orphan born with the temperament of a master. His skills are self-taught and so lack refinement, but his potential is undeniable. He favors Dark Wound, a short bladed weapon given to him by his adoptive father, rumored to be one of the Night Masters..
Shang Zuo is a calm, unflappable fighter of average skill, but who possesses a centered view of all things powerful enough to influence physical objects. This “Sword Temper” skill allows him to destroy objects without moving a muscle and to knock arrows out of the sky with but a single thought. Together they will face the unknown and harness new skills as they face down a terrible conspiracy.

An extremely janky CAG that has a surprising amount of sauce, highly recommended, just don't expect it to have a higher budget than the 10 dollars it had. This also has one of my favorite implementations of bosses with armor/being able to combo bosses. You can basically punish bosses after certain attacks and launch them, and they can't be re-launched unless you do a tag combo and change characters, this ♥♥♥♥ rocks and games with way higher budgets have been ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the same mechanic up since.
This is a great game and it is a shame I got the chance to play it this late... LOVELY!
We made a game where the characters can do 999 damage at level 1. Hahah! Amazing. The counters in this game are absurdly easy to do, instantly kill every normal enemy and one character actually teleports to the enemy when you do it. Makes everything not a boss pointless. Bosses get opened up to combos by counters, but don't take the absurd damage. Ie they're how it should be all the time. Counters aside the game is... meh. Very linear maps that go on forever. Very boring story and characters. All it can rely on to carry it is combat. You get to play as 2 dudes: Shin and the other one. I will call them Guy A and Guy B for lack of remembering the second name or which one Shin is. Guy A is a brute; you just mash buttons, hit half the screen per button press, juggle enemies to death and combo into your big super win attack. His regular dodge is his counter so you constantly ACCIDENTALLY instakill enemies. Play as him and the game is incredibly easy Guy B is Vergil. From DMC. Or a wannabe Vergil. He summons swords you can use to shoot at enemies or whatever. Feels worse than guy A; his attacks are slower to come out, have massively longer end-lag, hit awkward areas and do less …
Shank 2 was not enought for action game's in 2D nice clothes? Stylish slice's are flying to you !
