I found some enjoyment out of this. I found it fun to figure out the puzzles. I do have some issues that I think if fixed could make for a better experience. Maybe this is a problem with me, but I found it extremely difficult to find key items. Particularly small items like keys. For example in the Ancient stage, it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to get out of the starting room. I feel like the obtuseness is to the game's benefit. I would just like to suggest that key items have an outline around them so it is easier. I feel like interactable objects on the wall are mostly fine. This is a good game. I recommend you at least try it if you like escape rooms.

"RealmScape" is a rather pointless, short Unity kitbash, where you wander through low poly asset flip looking environments to find 5 cubes on each of the maps. There's some background narrative but it's equally unengaging. This isn't the worst amateur game I've ever seen, but there's no prizes for being the best looking guy in the burns ward. The technical execution of this game is shallow and simplistic, just enough to tick the boxes required to get something (anything) published on Steam, rather than investing the huge amount of effort and budget needed to create a fully fledged, comprehensive, high quality product. This feels like a tech demo more than a full game. The game assets here look a lot better than the actual game they're assembled on... that doesn't mean this is necessarily an asset flip or a kitbash, because there's no proof. But what matters is that this has all the same terrible quality as asset flips, and at the end of the day that's one of the reasons people don't like asset flips, the quality is bad. That's a problem. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from n…
