Lucky me gets to write the first review for another asset flip scam from Neki4 Electronics. Red Hero Adventure is another GameMaker Studio asset flip from copy+paste repeat offenders, Neki4 Electronics. All these guys do is rip off game templates and projects from the Yoyogames/GameMaker Studio marketplace and other places, change the name and a few cosmetic details, and try to scam people into paying for someone else's work on Steam. They have run asset flip scams dozens of times, and this is no exception (just look at their other games on Steam). It's nothing but a cash grab. This time they've ripped off a basic template for a 2D retro platformer with a rolling ball. You can see the same template in use as Roller Ball X on the app stores or as an APK, which suffices as proof this is nothing but a cash grab scam/ripoff. GameMaker Studio itself is a terrible game construction kit, and this asset flip shows just how bad things can get when templates/tutorials/demos from that construction kit get dumped on Steam as complete games. There is no narrative backdrop, no characters to interact with, and no elaborate world-building — the game presents itself with a refreshing directness, putting all of its weight on pure mechanical challenge. This minimalist framework is intentional, allowing the player to focus fully on the physicality of movement. The red ball becomes an extension of your reflexes, and the world around it functions as a series of obstacles designed to test your spatial awareness and control. The early stages act as an onboarding ramp, introducing basic mechanics and letting you get a feel for the distinct bounce, inertia, and stopping distance of the ball. These introductory levels are short and forgiving, emphasizing clean layout design that teaches you to read edges, slopes, and distances. Once you understand the physics, however, the game wastes little time escalating the challenge. Platforms become narrower, traps are arranged with tighter spacing, a…2 found this helpful
