Negatives: Game has a horrible interface for inventory/crafting/skills etc. Map starts zoomed in. And I mean really zoomed in. Controls are sluggish and bad. You cant jump if you are touching a wall, Sometimes the character just changes direction. Collision detection area bit off for platforms and such. At one point my sword just disappeared. This was when I found a new and worse weapon. (bug?) Cant crouch making avoiding projectiles a pain. You can block, but it has a cooldown.. so more than one projectile and you have no chance of avoiding it. Game sometime shows references to xbox buttons, playstation buttons or keyboard. Really cant make up its mind... (I use an xbox controller) Good - Cheap - Has potential if ALOT of stuff is fixed/improved5 found this helpful

I try to give most games a fair chance. I can understand the intent behind this game but I was unable to continue playing it after a few minutes. The game makes you buy a parry mechanic in the tutorial but it does not work half the time. Also the movement of the background is jarring when you first start moving after a pause.
I feel like the game has potential. I love the way the character moves: skipping instead of running and the fact that it has an slide so you can avoid projectiles when they come your way, but controls need some work as it is not as responsive as I would have like them. Playing with gamepad is not as friendly, but you can work it around a bit, but what I really don't like right now is that you can not go over to the last level you started, only the levels you were able to pass, at least that's what happened to me on the first boss, so I had to repeat the cave level to be able to reach the boss fight and that's a hassle. If there is any update to patch the game in the future, I'd love to play it again. MC is a cutie.
