They say the pen is mightier than the sword, but in the world of Redacted, you wield not just the pen, but truth itself.Welcome to an era where information is abundant, yet truth is a carefully curated commodity. You, positioned at a news agency poised to dictate public opinion, wield power mightier than any weapon: the ultimate authority over the news, deciding what the public sees and what they believe. Your office is the epicenter of public discourse, and the text editor in your hands is the ultimate weapon for manipulating public perception and thought. In Redacted, you will immerse yourself in a tense experience fraught with moral dilemmas and political intrigue. Every incoming news report, whether concerning global conflicts, economic crises, or social scandals, will become your canvas. You are more than just an editor; you are a shaper of reality:

• Edit & Replace: Artfully rewrite text and adjust phrasing to make harsh truths palatable, or amplify trivial events into roaring scandals.
• Direct Deletion: Ruthlessly delete "inconvenient" text, sensitive images, or even obliterate entire facts. Make certain events disappear as if they never happened, and certain individuals as if they never existed.
• Manipulate Public Opinion: Every modification you make will ripple outwards like a butterfly effect, influencing public sentiment, government decisions, and even global affairs. Will you quell public outrage, incite patriotism, or sow chaos to achieve some ulterior motive? The choice is yours.
• Face the Consequences: Your choices are not without a price. Every 'edit' can unleash unforeseen chain reactions, potentially putting your own safety in jeopardy. Will you become an unsung hero, or a historical villain?
