Do not buy that piece of tr*sh, it's not even fun bad. You will notice most of the positive reviews are people that got the game for free. It's really boring, 99% of the time you will be walking because you can't run and they make you do a lot of back and forth. Stay away. Edit : Played the game again on hell difficulty. They claim the game has rogue-like elements, challenging gameplay with random ennemies and random story/objectives with each new game, ok but how ? I did not see that at all and I played 2 games on normal and 1 on hell difficulty. There is no rogue-like elements to that game, no permadeath, no procedural generation of levels, nothing. The game isn't challenging at all, I had 30 painkillers when I finished the game on hell difficulty and more than 100 bullets, knowing the most dangerous ennemi is the dark spirit that take 1 bullet to kill and the demon that flee like a pu**y every time you shoot him, how is that challenging ? There is no ennemi variety, you have the dark spirit, the zombie, the demon and the big demon (the boss), that's it and they alway appear in the same order so random my as*. The story and objectives also aren't random, it's alway the same path…

Reficul 666 is just another low-budget first person indie horror game that will probably never come out of early access. Gameplay is just wondering around a neighborhood in the pitch dark where all you can see is a small circle of light from a flashlight or lighter while black ghost-like entities sneak up on you and deplete your health. I experienced constant random frame rate drops no matter what graphic setting using an RTX2080 and i9 processor. The flashlight also causes a strange texture dithering on the ground. You also constantly run out of lighter fluid and batteries. The rain sound also does not get any quieter when entering houses and the interiors of the houses all look the same. I could also hear the rain but not see any rain no matter what graphic option I selected. Trying to use certain items and open doors also caused me to fire my gun if the cursor was not placed exactly. I also found the inventory system awkward and entering the inventory does not pause the game. Objectives and finding locations on the map are also confusing and I often just wondered around aimlessly until I lost interest. You find yourself in a small abandoned town and start following notes left by residents, hoping to figure out what happened and find any survivors. The biggest challenge is finding the right spots on the map and getting to the next location without being killed by monsters. The overall design is simple, but the game has a nice creepy atmosphere. Sound effects are on point. When you hear demon noises, run!

MadAboutGamesStudios have upgraded this from the original so player doesn't get swamped by enemies (unless you go into the cemeteries) and weaponry has been upgraded, have to hunt for it though, other items such as religious paraphernalia help in the banishing of the ghoulies, the stamina is rather meh to put it mildly. There are what some would call glitches, I call them tactical opportunities which enabled me to finish the game.
