It had been more than a hundred years since the terrible plague devoured the whole continent and turned almost everyone there in the maddened mutants. Absolutely loving it. I haven't played any 'twin stick shooters', although it has so many similarities to ARPG's that it all feels very familiar to me. It is in early access, so obviously there will be fine tuning and more content, but for now I'm having an absolute blast. RPG's all feel the same to me, but the presentation of this game has something else - soul. The art direction and atmosphere is superb. The different environments and variety of creatures (and mechanics) just feels so fresh. Edit (08/02/2026) Just started playing the latest update. Something must be said about about the music score. It absolutely stands out. The composer is in a different league to both the low budget/ amateur composers but also the AA ones. Stylistically, there is a very evident nod to Bruckner and Wagner (and some Brahms) that absolutely oozes atmosphere. It is also synergistic with the age or era that game depicts. I have not tired of listenign to this stoundout full orchestral score despite many listens. It is sufficiently long and the tracks varied enough to never become repetitive. Great game, loving the action and styling. Only downside at this point is I don't know if I'm stuck or if I'm just at the end of the early access. I'm in the village, I finished the castle, and there's no markers. I'm just running around in circles

It's pretty good although it needs some tweaks. However the devs abandoned it, so not recommended
There's a cool game underneath a litany of control issues with both controllers and mouse/keyboard. I did play with a PS5 controller using Steam Input and buttons straight up did not work. Bought this 6 or 7 months ago and just had never gotten around to playing it, or at least I showed I had 2 minutes in it. After another hour I'm calling it here. With the keyboard and mouse I was unable to re-assign the space bar. In the menu needed to use the mouse/keyboard in order to select items as "X" did not work for anything. Perhaps in time these kinds of things will be fixed, or maybe it's just me that has the problem in general.
