I've been playing this game since it was released, first on PS5, now on my gaming PC. Not only is this one of the greatest games I have ever played, it is also the most re-playable game I have ever played. If you like souls like games and you love shooters, look no further. The builds, game play, bosses, insane way it re-rolls campaigns-- there just isn't anything like it! Graphics- check. Amazing re-rollable campaigns- check. Interesting non-campaign play options- check. Great coop play option- check. Superb gun play with options of mele, souls like dodging/rolling- check. Deep RPG builds/loot- check. Interesting story- check. I could keep going on, but you get the point. Play Remnant II!
This is the most random and aimless game ive ever seen. It does not build on remnant 1 in a significant way that demands an entire sequel. the gunplay and combat is the exact same as the first game, but its just filled with this all this random trash. terrible story. terrible nonsensical cut scenes, etc. You start out in a "the last of us" style post apoc city, then you're in a sewer, then you're in an unnecessarily large hub, then all the sudden you're in an alien halo reach world with robot glider things. At that point i had to stop myself and ask "what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on" it is just all over the place with the story and cutscene spamming. It feels like its trying to do and be a bunch of things at once but very softly delivering on all of it. By the time i actually got to the first few check points i just had to stop playing it. it doesn't feel rewarding or impactful or good to play. 4/10 painfully average
it is cool
One of my favorite games ever. The added "Boss Rush" mode is a full roguelite game in and of itself, and the 3 DLCs all have awesome content and some of my favorite archetypes. Can't recommend enough.
This is a great game, love, the procedural generation. It's even better with friends. If you're a fan of dark souls, guns, exploration, or Boss fights. This is the game for you.
After all the power creep this ♥♥♥♥ sucks and isn't worth 15$. Difficulty? Nah lets just spawn random ♥♥♥♥ behind the player and have them do 50 damage (of your 130hp when maxed in traits) so every encounter feels as unrewarding and repetitive as possible. Balance? Nah lets make sure that each stage is 1-3 power levels over the player at all times so even if they want to go farm to upgrade their gear they're forced to waste 1-4 hours replaying an old map, but make sure it stays 1-3 levels higher so the player needs to play meta to "have fun" by seeing decent damage numbers. Replayablility? Why, we force them to replay the same ♥♥♥♥ on loop since every map only lets you unlock 1/X rewards forcing you to replay the same boring ♥♥♥♥ over and over again like this is WoW 1.0. Fun? Never ♥♥♥♥♥♥ heard of her mate, enjoy playing the role of sisyphus as you run into the same walls on repeat until the game decides not to have every mob in your area code attack 3 frames apart so the damage is undodgeable. Also ♥♥♥♥ off with having 5 second player hitstun when any non chaff mob can be stunned at max 2 seconds. Like feeling like you've progressed? Not gonna happen here, you'll go throu…
