Repurpose

originally played this randomly on a game/visual novel bundle that was gifted to me a few years ago and it's been one of my favorite visual novels ever since. love and appreciate the art and representation! i would say i would die for noel but i don't think he would appreciate that very much.

I don't have much playtime (yet), but I still wish to get the review out there already while my thoughts are still fresh on my mind after my first playthrough in which I chose Ramón to be the chosen hubby here. Starting the game, I was a bit hesitant to continue, because some of the messaging is instantly right in your face. I'm not talking about representation, but more so some political(?) views (however right they might be), so I was put off by the whole preachy thing we had going right from the get-go. However, I am glad that I just rolled my eyes and soldiered on, because it was very much worth doing so. I had a great time playing Ramón's path and solving the mystery of my own death-- and I quite enjoyed how Hell was portrayed as well as Limbo. I can't say much about Heaven/Utopia since I haven't played any of the routes yet and since it brings me to the next issue; some of the romance options are personally just not appealing to me. Though, that doesn't mean they're bad love interests-- some of them just really didn't click with me, so there I was going for the obvious choice of Ramón, while eyeing Faye and Noel as any potential next romance options to play through. [b]My recommended order: Utopia -> Hell -> Limbo -> Faye[/b] I got this game on a big discount and was suprised at how well written and made was this game. There are many intresting charcters with their own personalities and agendas, as well as so many possible choices you can make through out the game. Additionally every route you play and every ending you get gives you more lore on the univerese the game is set in which makes it a higly replayable and enjoyable piece. Another thing I loved about this game was the diversity of the romaceble characters. Having and ace, genderfluide romanceble is something I personally haven't seen much of (especially this well executed) and honestly I live for it. Only things that I'm missing are: maybe some journal or like a glossary were you can check all the things you learn about the world, and some true route or a way to actually trully piece togheter what's going on in the afterlife. So even though I wish there was more I higly recommend this game, especially if you love queer VN.
