About Rerun
In Rerun you must cunningly wield your adventurer's ever-evolving abilities or end up out of usages and doomed to an endless struggle. Using the environment to your advantage, position your chaotic adventurers to keep them safe and lure your foes into your devious traps that'll send them flying into lava!

Rerun plays like a combination of Into the Breach and Slay the Spire. Each playthrough a random dungeon map is generated which doubles as your skill tree, navigate the map and choose the perfect upgrades for your adventurers' abilities. And maybe.. be greedy and double down at certain levels to get extra rewards in preparation for the boss fights? Don't run out of ability usages though!

Oof... while Rerun is a lightly entertaining little game (and I am putting a heavy emphasis on *little*,) it does not live up to its name. To put it simply, it is completely lackluster and a run-of-the-mill roguelike. The game lacks depth, variety, and challenge. Even though there are several characters (mostly unlockable) to choose from, their abilities are mundane. You get to form a team of two characters at the start of each run, but there are no advantages or disadvantages to creating specific pairings, so you basically pick any two. Progression through the dungeon has you navigating an overly simplified path of stages that don't have any drawbacks and offer uninteresting rewards. Each stage is a little square map with a spattering of the same cookie-cutter enemies and obstacles. I was expecting at least several hours of gameplay that would require multiple runs before even reaching the boss. I ended up beating the game in 2-hours while watching TV and eating dinner. In the end, I feel disappointed and have no desire to play another run. I would not pay the sticker price of $10 for this game or even the intro sale price of $8. It lacks serious quality in gameplay and challenge…13 found this helpful
It's very obviously trying to do something with the limited actions and tiny hp, but, like... Nothing's standard and everything does something weird, not to mention that there's things that instantly kill your heroes unapologetically. The random aspects are.... Complete trash if I'm honest. You can get mods, spells, and actions, yes, but.... They're all useless. They all do weird things that take actions, and because you only have 1 main and 1 bonus action, a lot of the time you'll get into position, do one action, then oop you have no more actions ":)", resulting in guaranteed damage or the battle taking longer. There's no meta tree, no builds, nothing, really, just a starting loadout via heroes and that's it. Tldr, Skin deep and too reliant on rng combined with micromanaging everything, from where you put the heroes, when you do the actions, how much move the enemies have while the game throws enemies that randomly swap you and limited abilities to begin with, and it's a headache to play rather than a fun time.7 found this helpful
I'm having fun with this game! The gameplay loop is good and I've tried a few combinations of heroes and they're all uniquely fun. How they interact with one another to create unique ways to beat enemies is great as well. I think I've said "this is my last run" about 15 times so far, yet I'm still playing it and getting better and better scores.4 found this helpful
Yes! This is a super fun beer n pretzels roguelite strategy game.3 found this helpful
An exciting puzzle game to keep you on your toes. It's strategic game design allows for clever experimentation and numerous ways to overcome each challenge. Push an enemy into a trap, attack them outright, or trick them into defeating each other, either way, victory is satisfying! PS. Be sure and take the time to read each ability and have fun!3 found this helpful
Fun game -- the combination of the characters and abilities are not overbearing and still keep things interesting for each game.2 found this helpful
