So I have completed both areas of this demo, in the second area you have access to the stages that can replenish your crystal supply which greatly eases the difficulty of the game. This is a turned based game and it has a learning curve to it but it does become greatly enjoyable once you get the feel for the game. On the enemy’s turn they will target either your characters, the crystals or a frozen enemy [The mage can unlock a weapon with this ability]. Your goal is to protect the crystals they are more valuable than your characters are. If you cannot do enough damage to kill the enemy you may need to interpose your character between the enemy and the crystal, I know it seems odd but the characters regen between stages while the crystals do not. Proceeding though the areas grants various benefits that enhance your abilities, you can gain new weapons, gear and crystals. Also there is a forge area to combine weapons to mix match abilities, it appears you can stack multiple abilities onto weapons at this time. I saw a comment complaining about the camera angle. The camera is adjustable using the keyboard or mouse, so you can change the orientation which does help when moving or …

Game much like Into The Breach, with much less complexity, and only ~8 fights per run you won;t be spending long time with a game, but it's fun enough to give a try and free is a very attractive price

"Dungeon Redemption" is an unfinished and abandoned attempt at making a "roguelike" RPG with turn based combat, from China. The assets look a lot like flipped stock assets, and while some effort went into making a real game here, it's difficult to suggest this has any value for gamers compared to much more genuinely and professionally made RPGs on Steam. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers …
